Ketone Resin

Description

This is condensation reaction product of cyclohexane and formaldehyde.

Ketonic resin enhances gloss, flow, hardness, drying speed and adhesion.

It finds application in primer base coat and all type of printing inks, furniture industry as well as improving gasoline resistance of coating.

Hydroxyl enriched KETONIC Resin can be used in 2K PU system for improvement in anticorrosive properties.

KETONIC resins are soluble in acetone and insoluble in alcohol.

Applications

PU Automotive Paint

The interiors and exteriors of trucks and cars feature many plastic parts. Depending on where the parts are located and what types of plastics are used, they may be protected with a variety of coating layers. Polyurethane (PU) systems provide a long-lasting, high-quality finish regardless of the number of layers.

Baking Alkyd Resin

Alkyd resins are manufactured from the condensation reaction between oil or polyols, acids, and alcohol. They are typically used as binders for coatings and printing inks. For lacquers in particular, nitrocellulose (NC) and CAB with excellent drying properties are used in combination with short oil alkyd resins that have low content of used oil.
