EPOXY ADDUCT

Description

Epoxy amine adducts are rection product of epoxy resin and polyamine. The selection of polyamine depends on end usage, properties and application required from Epoxy Coatings.

Epoxy-amine adducts come in various formulations with different functionalities and properties. Careful selection based on the desired final product characteristics is crucial.

They are used to formulate epoxy coatings used corrosion resistance coatings for tanks and pipelines, marine coatings, flooring system, high performance adhesives and several other applications.

the curing reaction at the site generates comparatively lower exothermic heat, reducing potential risks in thick coatings. The pre-reacted nature of the adduct provides more predictable and manageable behaviour.

A well formulated epoxy amine adducts offer desired pot life and more flexible film with improved adhesion, chemical and corrosion resistance.

Applications

PU Automotive Paint

The interiors and exteriors of trucks and cars feature many plastic parts. Depending on where the parts are located and what types of plastics are used, they may be protected with a variety of coating layers. Polyurethane (PU) systems provide a long-lasting, high-quality finish regardless of the number of layers.

Baking Alkyd Resin

Alkyd resins are manufactured from the condensation reaction between oil or polyols, acids, and alcohol. They are typically used as binders for coatings and printing inks. For lacquers in particular, nitrocellulose (NC) and CAB with excellent drying properties are used in combination with short oil alkyd resins that have low content of used oil.
