Economical High solid acrylic resin with quick drying PU and good adhesion to galvanized steel. Low isocyanate requirement.
PRINCIPAL PROPERTIES
MACROLIC-5545 is hydroxyl functional acrylic copolymer designed to crosslink at room temperature Withpoly isocyanate. Used for two pack air drying PU finish. Home appliance coatings, maintenance coatings incorrosive atmosphere. Due to its excellent outdoor resistance it is also used for automotive topcoats.

Reaction Ratio:
MACROLIC-5545 should be mixed with the selected polyisocyanate just prior to application. Stoichiometricmixing ratios are recommended to obtain optimum performance. Alternative ratios may be suitable for some applications, butshould be evaluated by the coating formulator beforehand.The reaction ratio is calculated from the respective equivalent weight or hydroxyl and isocyanate content of the reactants.
Catalysts:
To increase the initial rate of cure of MACROLIC-5545 based paints, at both ambient temperature and under low bakeconditions, the use of tin catalyst in the form of Di Butyl tin Di Laurite is strongly recommended.
Solvents:
The solvents chosen for paints and lacquers based on MACROLIC-5545 should be free of water and should not containgroups that react with isocyanates.
